La Iglesia cubana confirma que 17 presos políticos viajarán a España
BARCELONA. (ELPLURAL)- La Iglesia cubana ha emitido un comunicado en el que aumenta a 17 el número de presos políticos que serán liberados por el régimen de los Castro y que podrán viajar a España a partir del lunes, como ya había confirmado este sábado el ministro español de Exteriores, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, aunque había hablado sólo de 11 prisioneros.
Los presos políticos cubanos viajarán con sus familiares. Diplomáticos españoles y funcionarios del consulado en La Habana tramitan la documentación del primer grupo, que llegará a España a comienzos de esta semana.
El arzobispado de La Habana dio a conocer a media mañana la identidad de cinco presos, entre los que están Normando Hernández y el periodista Ricardo González Alfonso, dos de los opositores más conocidos del Grupo de los 75, que fueron juzgados en la primavera de 2003 y castigados con largas condenas por el supuesto delito de “conspirar con Estados Unidos”, según la acusación del Gobierno castrista.
Ricardo González Alfonso es compañero del también periodista y poeta Raúl Rivero, quien reside en España desde 2006 tras salir de prisión por motivos de salud.
Los presos políticos están siendo entrevistados por teléfono por el cardenal cubano Jaime Ortega, y su identidad no se revela mientras no confirman personalmente su voluntad de abandonar el país.
