Venezuela prepara Mundial Femenino de Sóftbol
CARACAS. (PL)- Venezuela intensifica los preparativos para celebrar el XII Campeonato Mundial de Softbol rama femenina, que tendrá como sede esta ciudad del 23 de julio al 3 de agosto venidero, encuentro que acogerá a delegaciones de 16 países.
La ministra de Deportes, Victoria Mata, explicó que paralelamente a la intensa preparación de la selección nacional, el país suramericano remodela instalaciones para recibir a los asistentes al certamen.
El equipo venezolano realiza un intenso entrenamiento, supervisado por un grupo multidisciplinario compuesto por médicos, psicólogos, nutricionistas, todos pendientes de su adiestramiento y evolución, subrayó.
Al referirse a la infraestructura deportiva precisó que el capitalino estadio de La Rinconada, escenario principal del mundial, se moderniza y amplía para garantizar el éxito del certamen a la par que se habilita el campo de Las Mayas, ambos en Caracas.
Estamos restaurando sitios que no recibían ningún mantenimiento desde hace casi tres décadas, añadió.
Tenemos un cronograma de entrenamiento muy rigoroso, todo está bien planificado, para lograr una actuación digna de la delegación venezolana, aseguró.
