España cantó victoria el viernes con un 2-1, pero las dos Rojas se clasificaron a los octavos de final en el desenlace del Grupo H del Mundial.Goles de David Villa y Andrés Iniesta, a los 24 y 37 minutos, adelantaron a España en el primer tiempo.
Todo parecía definido tras la expulsión de Marco Estrada en la jugada del segundo tanto español y que dejó a Chile con 10 hombres. Pese a la inferioridad numérica, los de Marcelo Bielsa supieron descontar a poco de iniciado el segundo tiempo.
Rodrigo Millar, quien al iniciar el complemento ingresó por Mark González, acercó a los chilenos a los 47 con un remate desde la frontal, uno que rebotó en la pierna de Gerard Piqué y desubicó al arquero Iker Casillas.
España llegó a los seis puntos para salir primero en el Grupo H y se medirá con Portugal en la siguiente ronda. Chile sacó la misma cosecha y como segundo se topará con Brasil. Suiza y Honduras, que igualaron 0-0 en el otro partido, quedaron eliminados.
