Hamás mata a dos soldados israelíes en un enfrentamiento en Gaza
Jerusalén. (AGENCIAS)- Dos soldados israelíes y dos milicianos palestinos han muerto en Jan Yunis, en la franja de Gaza, en el enfrentamiento más grave desde que acabara la guerra de Gaza en enero de 2009.
Una carga explosiva ha matado a los dos militares cuando hacían una de sus habituales incursiones en territorio palestino. En la refriega posterior, los dos milicianos fueron abatidos en un intercambio de fuego con los uniformados de Hamás. “Las fuerzas israelíes invadieron 500 metros en Gaza y fueron atacadas por nuestros hombres armados”, ha confirmado un portavoz de Hamás.
Fuentes palestinas han informado horas después de que cinco tanques israelíes y dos excavadoras blindadas entraron a la franja desde el este disparando proyectiles cerca del poblado de Jan Younis, en el sur de Gaza, informa Reuters. Asimismo, han dicho que hay helicópteros y aviones no tripulados sobrevolando la franja.
Al mismo tiempo que arrecia la disputa política en torno a la colonización judía de Jerusalén, se suceden los bombardeos contra la franja palestina, especialmente en la zona de Rafah, donde todavía funcionan cientos de túneles por los que se abastece Gaza. Asimismo, la semana pasada falleció un campesino tailandés por la metralla de un cohete kassam lanzado desde Gaza.
También en Cisjordania la situación se ha deteriorado. Después de varios meses de relativa calma, el pasado fin de semana cuatro palestinos desarmados murieron en la región de Nablus. El Ejército israelí aseguró que dos de ellos recibieron balazos de caucho durante una manifestación. Horas después, fuente médicas y ONG israelíes aseguraban que se había empleado munición real y que ambos jóvenes -de 16 y 19 años- participaban en la protesta.
