Miami. Cuba 1959
Al igual que el pueblo de Cuba, que estaba esperanzado en que pronto vendrían las elecciones y reinaría la paz al desaparecer la corrupción, los artistas también se equivocaron en sus perspectivas.
A principios de la revolución tuvimos que sufrir el ver saltando de autobús en autobús a Jorge Raúl Guerrero, cual si fuera un “artista cubano” ambulatorio recitando: “Fidel Fidelísimo, retoño martiano”.
El disco de 45 rpm que tiene por un lado “Sierra Maestra” y por detrás “Venezuela Libre” (marca Union Radio) el cual tengo en mi poder, fue por muchas semanas con el que los cubanos aprendieron la marcha del 26 de Julio, que estaba incluida en “Sierra Maestra” grabada por Daniel Santos en la misma estación, con los soldados de Batista haciendo posta fuera de la emisora.
Salió “Cuba que Linda es Cuba ” con la voz de soprano elogiando a Fidel.
“Un Fidel subido en la montaña, un rubí, cinco franjas y una estrella. (que también lo tengo) Efectivamente Fajardo con Los Barbudos y en la carátula una gorra del ejército rebelde.
Orlando Vallejo cantando a su madre sobre sus barbas.
Tito Hernández sacó un disquito de 45 rpm (que también tengo) diciendo malas palabras, halagando a Fidel y atacando a Batista.
Rolando Laserie sacó su Ya llegó Fidel y después refiriéndose a la reforma urbana de Castro en “Y te vas”: “Te vas?” Ahora que bajaron los alquileres?.
Pototo y Filomeno adulteraron sus éxitos logrados con la Melodía del 40 y sacaron una parodia de Una Carta de Mamita: “Una carta he recibido de Menoyo debe ser, “Que Viva Cuba , viva Fidel y todos los que pelearon junto con él” El LP que sacaron se llama Ensalada.
Rebelde con doce números y en la carátula ellos dos disfrazados de soldados con armas. También guardo tales grabaciones.
Benny Moré, cierto que con Joseíto Fernández hizo mención de esperanzas de la reforma agraria, pero en “Ay mi Cuba ” que cantó en una reunión de veteranos de la Guerra de Independencia, improvisó entre otras cosas, elementos comparativos con los improvisados rebeldes de Castro al decir: “Uds. sí que lucharon con el machete en la mano” y termina entre vítores del público diciendo: “A que Uds. como yo se sienten orgullosos de la REPUBLICA CUBANA!”.
A mí siempre me molestó el que las artes fueran utilizadas por los políticos, pero en realidad, era la atmósfera que se respiraba entonces.
Si Celia cantó alguna loa al nuevo gobierno revolucionario, bien que lo compensó con las cientos de expresiones y canciones que en sus conciertos y sus discos en contra del sistema, discos que también guardo. Es también muy probable que ella haya cantado en Mil Diez.
Era una estación del P.S.P. pero dieron oportunidades a muchas figuras y orquestas, entre otras a Olga Guillot.
En casa, tengo las marchas de la revolución, desde la de Rodrigo Prats: “Adelante, milicianos”, hasta las de las Brigadas Conrado Benítez, la Internacional, “De Pie América Latina” ” Cuba sí, Yankees No” y muchas obras elogiando al desgobierno de Cuba de todas las sabandijas de los últimos 51 años: Los Van Van, Silvio, Pablo, Carlos Puebla, el Jilguero de Cienfuegos, la Orquesta Aragón ” Cuba es una Maravilla”, etc. etc.
Tenemos que admitir que el proceso fue gradual y por supuesto basado en el egoísmo del cubano. La mayor parte cambiaba de opinión cuando “le pisaban el callo”. Pero eso sigue pasando en Cuba actualmente, porque hasta los propios “disidentes” actuales, que agradecemos que se están oponiendo ahora, pasaron muchas docenas de años colaborando con el régimen y no soy yo el que pone su fanatismo en ninguno de éstos, que han aprendido demasiado tarde lo que en realidad tiene de maligno el régimen.
Conviene que las mujeres se vistan de blanco y marchen en protesta, pero estas damas de blanco no desfilaban ni protestaban cuando estaban matando a esposos de otras mujeres en el paredón u otras madres tenían a sus hijos en las cárceles.
La historia de Cuba está llena de incertidumbres y amarguras.
Los patriotas idealistas siempre han resultado víctimas y los pueblos no respetan ni veneran a quienes dieron su vida por la libertad de ellos.
Quien ve a Cuba desde afuera, no podrá jamás comprender muchas cosas horribles que han pasado y no es tan fácil como decir blanco y negro el asimilar las responsabilidades de las que muchos fueron culpables.
Respecto al libro Azucar, La biografía de Celia Cruz El periódico Universal de México publicó en unas declaraciones con el escritor y crítico de arte Sr. Marceles Daconte lo siguiente: “Tengo datos concretos sobre la canción polémica de Celia la cual se alega cantó en junio de 1959 en la Emisora CMQ, en La Habana, y dice uno de sus apartes” . (Canta Celia) “… Para qué tantos con tanto/ y por qué tantos sin nada/ si esta es la tierra sagrada/ porque Dios mandó aFidel…”. Expertos como el escritor cubano Helio Orovio y el escritor, coleccionista musical y musicologo César Pagano lo llevaron a descubrir la canción que se titula Guajiro Llegó tu Día.
No obstante hay que aclarar para ese momento en que confluían muchos sentimientos antibatistianos, diversas personas apoyaban tanto al 26 de Julio como al grupo más radical en La Habana, el Directorio Universitario, y se expresaron de diversas formas, la pregunta es : ¿Conoce usted temas de cantantes cubanos que hoy viven en el exilio o que vivieron en el exilio y le cantaron al inmediato cambio social de enero de 1959″.
Yo personalmente conozco:
1. Fajardo y su Orquesta una composición de Félix Reina creó se llama llegaron los Barbudos, que dice ” Ya llegaron de la sierra, ya
llegaron los barbudos”.
2. Daniel Santos con la Sonora Boricua (probablemente) Sierra Maestre, que se ponía cada 10 minutos con la llegada de un nuevo
manifiesto de los Rebeldes en la CMQ.
3. Rolando La Serie, “Fidel ya Llegó” Me comentó Eddy Zervigón Director de la Orquesta Broadway, que esta canción le trajó problemas a Rolando recien llegado a NYC, la cuestión acontece de la siguiente manera: “Rolando para 1960 esta ya exiliado en NYC cantando en el Palladium, cuando este sale un momento a la calle a tomar aire, un grupo como de cinco cubanos, se bajaron de un carro y pistola en mano, se la pusieron en la cara a Rolando y le dijeron “Canta ahora maricón llegó Fidel, canta maricón…”
4. Benny More, que estando fuera de Cuba después regresa y canta un sin numeros de tonadas en favor de la Revolución.
Con nuestra lista contribuiríamos que en una situación donde nadie quería a Batista, muchos se expresaron en favor de Fidel, no
importando su fígura publica, por tanto lo de Celia fue un momento más como todos, y de ahi disipamos el punto de ebullición que ha
causado esta obra en el público cubano de Miami.
Cuba 2010
Hoy en dia tuve que enfrentarme a otra descarga retorica de lo que llamo, el grupo de los “ACERE QUE VOLA”… que después de haberme pasado 30 años de exilio, vienen a darme clases de cómo correr y corregir los errores del Pais mas grande y democrático del mundo, pero ya me cansé, y no aguanto mas.
Esta bueno ya de soportar que me cuenten cuentos de hadas los Youseff, Yusleisis, Marisleysis, Malenkoviskis, Disleysis, Yumeisis, y hasta los mas renombrados como los Fideles, Raules, Camilos, Efigenios y hasta los Ernestos… para recuerdos malos tengo de sobra… todos ellos con ideas brillantes, conocimientos extensos, vocabularios abundantes y lexicos para tratar de convencerte… con titulos colgados en el pecho que nunca aparecen… pero que los hacen expertos, ingenieros, médicos, arquitectos, contadores, abogados y sobre todo profesores de no se cuantas cosas y materias desconocidas pero que te lo repiten para darte a entender de sus conocimientos logrados estudiando dentro de la maldita Revolución.
Esta bueno ya de pasar por alto a los que traen ya estudiada la forma de ordeñar el Welfare, el Medicare, al Medicaid, a los programas de salud, y a cuanta madre puedan meterle mano estos descarados, aprovechandose de la generosidad de los EU y sin disparar un solo chicharo, pero criticando y haciendo todo el daño que puedan.
Esta bueno ya! Me duelen los “tomates” de ver y oir a los Ex Comandantes, Capitanes, Administradores, Ex-Agentes del G2, Ex Oficiales de Inteligencia, Guardaespaldas, ex milicianos, miembros de los CDR y otros mal paridos que después de haber chupado la teta del sistema y vivir del cuento durante 51 largos años, estan supuestamente arrepentidos.
Sabe Dios a cuantos infelices acusaron, embarcaron y mandaron a prisión mientras ellos vivian bien, hasta que les tocaron el callo o les mandaron un par de tennis Reebok de los Estados Unidos, y se “dieron cuenta” de que aquello era una porqueria socialista y decidieron venir al exilio a tratar de redimirse en el programa de Oscar Haza, Maria Elvira, o en el de radio de Ninoska Perez, pero disfrutando ahora de la buena vida en el exilio junto con los que ellos en su oportunidad llamaron LA GUSANERA DE MIAMI.
Esta bueno ya de darle cabida a todos estos músicos, cantantes y artistas que vienen a unirse a los que les gritaron, escorias, traidores, vende-patrias y miles de oprobios mas, después de haberle estado cantándole por decadas a los Castros y los asesinos y degenerados que hundieron a Cuba, y que utilizan su mal habido talento para excusarse diciendo que ellos son musicos o artistas y que siempre fueron apoliticos.
Esta bueno ya de que me estén hablando mal del pais que me dió abrigo, refugio, libertad y democracia, toda esa sarta de infiltrados que vienen a engañar, a robar y aprovecharse del sistema que nosotros hemos ayudado a construir durante los pasados 51 años…
Esta bueno ya! No aguanto ni una descarga mas!.
Si no te gusta ésto, vete de vuelta a Cuba ! pero el primero que me vuelva a hablar mal de los Estados Unidos, de su sistema Democrático, donde se elige un Presidente cada cuatro años, donde existe el respeto, la educación, los modales, las oportunidades y lo mas importante y vital para un ser humano… LIBERTAD DE EXPRESION Y RELIGION; LIBERTAD DE PRENSA…. LO ADVIERTO DE NUEVO… EL PROXIMO DESCARADO QUE VENGA A HABLARME EN CONTRA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS, O A APROVECHARSE DE SUS LIBERTADES , DE SEGURO QUE… LO MANDO P’AL CARAJO!.
